The central topic of this exhibition is the idea of The Refuge, as a haven in the wilderness. It is a documentary research of architecture that starts at a certain height, and gets into a conversation with art pieces that explore mental spaces on the same level.
The Goethe cabin is a model of the cabin constructed by Goethe in the forest of Thüringen, a construction that is often identified with a famous, subtle poem, Über alle Gipfeln, that he has written there – as a beautiful illustration of the artist – wanderers talent of grasping the complete world in few words.
